Pre-Teen Acting Program

Ages 10 - 12 years

Our Pre-teen Program focusses on developing confidence, communication skills and basic acting techniques in a fun, safe environment. The course structure includes warm ups, acting games and exercises designed for pre-teens. Classes focus on positive encouragement and inclusivity to allow the students to express their creativity. The exercises give students an insight into how to approach non-scripted (improvised) and scripted scenes.

Concepts covered.

  • An introduction to acting and what it entails.

  • Acting games that introduce students to basic acting technique.

  • Active listening and responding.

  • Actions and objectives - Acting is doing.

  • Basic age-appropriate acting exercises

  • Scene work and improvisation.

When - Wednesdays 4.30 - 5.30pm
