FAQ - Everything You Need to Know About Our Acting Classes
-
All classes are taught by Richard Lindsell, a professionally trained actor with over 30 years’ experience working in Australian theatre, film and television. Richard has also worked as a screenwriter, director and producer, giving students insight into how screen performances are created from script through to final edit.
-
Classes are structured by age group to ensure material, exercises and expectations are appropriate for each stage of development. Content and activities are tailored to suit the emotional maturity and experience level of the students.

-
Yes. All scenes, scripts and exercises are carefully selected or adapted to be age-appropriate. Students are never asked to engage with material that is unsuitable for their age group.
-
Emotional safety is a priority. Students are never asked to draw on personal trauma or uncomfortable personal experiences. The work focuses on imagination, craft and storytelling, within clear boundaries and a respectful environment.
-
No. The emphasis is on learning, exploration and growth, not competition. Students are encouraged to take creative risks in a supportive atmosphere where mistakes are part of the learning process.
-
While the skills taught are relevant to professional screen acting, the classes are primarily educational rather than audition-focused. Some students may choose to pursue acting professionally, but the skills developed - confidence, communication, empathy and teamwork - are valuable in many areas of life.
-
Many students start the classes feeling shy or uncertain. Exercises are designed to gently build confidence over time, with no pressure to “perform” before a student feels ready.
-
Class sizes are kept manageable with a maximum of 12 students to ensure each student receives attention, guidance and feedback in a supportive group environment.
-
You are welcome to get in touch directly if you have any questions or concerns before enrolling. Open communication is encouraged.
